This is a great expo of Steve Vai and his incredible talent. You will watched this Video over and over and you will love it. His playing in incredible. His stage antics are fun, entertaining and moving. It truly shows off Steve Vai's talent and personality. Steve Vai, he's not only an incredible guitarist but simply radiates life and music.

If you are a pop music fan that does not consider a piece of music to be real music if there is no lead singer...skip this. If you believe there is never any reason to become a vituoso guitar player...or if you think playing the same 3 cords over and over while repeating the same tired blues licks makes you a virtuoso...skip this. If you think a guitarist like Clapton standing in one spot for an entire show is the way to go...SKIP THIS.

Vai is one-of-a-kind. Most can't say that. He moves, he grooves...and he still plays things that mortals cannot play. Excellent video of an excellent band, starring the incredible Steve Vai. You can learn a lot from watching carefully!

Maybe guitar heros in the music world are no longer important recently. When Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen played, automatically generations wanted to play. No players have come across since then with such apogee and influenced as many. But Steve Vai actually makes the guitar an anttractive instrument to listen to.

This Video is just amazing, VAI Got boost in his performace with Billy Shean, besides now he is playing some melodious tunes...Whispering a prayer is just awesome!!! Recommended to GUITAR GUYS AS A MUST SEE!! for rest of folks recommended!!! VAI's MUSIC is ENCHANTING!!!! Steve Vai, he is simply the best guitarist alive today.

If you are a fan of Vai and his style and skill, then Steve Vai: Live at the Astoria London will be a mesmerizing, fascinating experience. You get to see Vai and his band of equally adept players mold and configure music into notes and variations unknown to mortal man. They take the stage, hold it firm for over two hours and never once let you experience expertise meltdown. Perhaps this is why the set, while energetic and intense, also feels cold and calculated. Without a huge hit single or dozens of chart-topping albums to feed his coffers, Vai obviously makes the road and his touring the financial bread and butter of his career. He'll even throw in a few jokes or philosophical bon mots just to liven up the proceedings. Take away the long hair, the chiseled good looks, the ragged robes of many colors, and the musical virtuosity, and you could be staring at Wayne Newton, rounding out the second of two shows a night with a rousing rendition of an obscure Jimmy Hendrix tune. Vai may be electrifying, but that doesn't always translate into engaging.

He is a truly guitar hero and a supremely gifted master at seven-string improvisation. He can make his instrument gently weep, speak and say, and cry like a baby. If it is audible, Steve can recreate it and then improve on it with his precise fingering and whiplash strumming.
