The Need For Speed jako jedyny nie został wyprodukowany wewnątrz Electronic Arts. Gigant jest odpowiedzialny wyłącznie za jego wydanie. Dzięki temu gra nie przypomina pozostałych części cyklu. Do dyspozycji gracza oddano osiem demonów szybkości. Wśród nich nie znajdziemy maszyn, których moc nie przekracza 230KM. Do wyboru są wyłącznie te pojazdy, które doczekały się miana kultowych: Dodge Viper, Porsche 911, Chevrolet Corvette, Mazda RX-7, Toyota Supra, Honda NSX. Stawkę zamykają dwa najszybsze „bolidy”: Lamborghini Diablo oraz Ferrari Testarossa. Oprócz tego w grze znajduje się jeden ukryty samochód (fikcyjny). Po wyborze pojazdu gracz przystępuje do wyścigu. Oprócz takich parametrów jak taktowanie CPU, ilość RAM (max 63 MB) itp istotna jest sekcja [autoexec]. Podajemy tam instrukcje wykonywane przy starcie programu. Jako że nie zapamiętuje on stanu poprzedniej sesji jest to wygodne rozwiązanie. Należy wpisać przynajmniej montowanie napędów. Domyślnie DOSBox nie ma dostępu do dysków, więc i tak trzeba by było za każdym razem to wpisywać: mount k k:\ -t cdrom mount d d:\dosbox\ Powyższe linie dodadzą partycję k, która będzie odpowiadała folderowi k:\ - mój napęd daemona. W przypadku cd/dvd należy dodać przełącznik -t cdrom. Druga linia montuje partycję d będącą folderem d:\dosbox\. Prawidłowe wykonanie tych instrukcji powinno wyświetlić przy starcie programu/po wpisaniu coś takiego: Z:\>mount k k:\ -t cdrom MSCDEX installed. Drive K is mounted as CDRom. Z:\>mount d d:\dosbox\ Drive D is mounted as local directory d:\dosbox\ UWAGA: konsola widzi napędy w takim stanie w jakim są podczas montowania, tzn ustawienie obrazu daemona po podmontowaniu partycji nic nie da. Trzeba to zrobić przed uruchomieniem programu (lub ręcznym wklepaniem poleceń jak nie korzystamy z [autoexec]). Mamy względnie gotową do pracy konsolę. 2. Instalujemy NFSSE: - przechodzimy do partycji którą podmontowaliśmy jako cd poleceniem "dysk:" czyli u mnie: k: - uruchamiamy instalator gry podając jego nazwę: installd lub installd.exe Rozszerzenie można pominąć, jeśli nie ma innych plików wykonywalnych o tej samej nazwie (.bat, .com). - sam instalator jest graficzny więc powstrzymam się od komentarza. So, when texture modding became available, I decided to make the other 2 suits myself. These replace the 3 buttoned suits that are available in the right side of the Perseus shop (not the 3 button ones with vests). As you might have noticed in the pictures, you cannot see the belt of the pants. That is because for some reason, the suit trousers have their belts higher than most other pants do (jeans, fatigues and so on), some of the suits have their bottom parts higher too, so they would fit along with those pants, but not these suits. So, the belt is higher than it should be on them. Sadly, that can't be fixed until we are able to modify models.
